Tree Removal

Having a tree in your space adds aesthetic value to your surroundings; it gives you the oxygen you need to live and provides a cool shade to protect you from direct sunlight. Just as life changes constantly, someone who seems to be a friend today might be your enemy the next day. Such is the case with trees that are not properly managed.
Improperly managed trees can fall unexpectedly, which could compromise the safety of properties, including vehicles, buildings, and people. They can also be a blockage for passersby, or one can stumble upon their root. To safeguard your property and the people around you, you might need to cut the tree down.
You need professional arborists from Morris family Tree Service to help you get rid of the tree safely. Even we ensure the tallest tree comes down without damaging your property or others’ properties, and people remain safe. Thanks to our expertise, advanced techniques, and sophisticated equipment such as cranes, felling bars, and rigging ropes, we guarantee a safe and controlled tree-removal process. Contact us today to protect your property, vehicles, and loved ones from the dangers of falling trees.

Tree Trimming/Pruning

A properly managed tree starts being trimmed and pruned at an early stage to avoid developing an undesirable growth pattern that becomes obstructive or intrusive, which ultimately weakens the overall well-being of the tree and its structure.
At Morris family Tree Service, we understand that for a tree to be a good-looking, safe, and healthy tree, the following is needed:

  • Increased Direct Sunlight: Increased direct sunlight in more parts of the tree enhances healthy foliage development.
  • Controlled Growth Patterns: A growth pattern in which its branches stretch onto a walkway or could intrude on buildings or damage properties reduces the risk of unexpected branch breakage.
  • Disease Prevention: Reducing the spread of disease infestations from rotten branches or roots.
  • Removal of Weak Branches: To ensure a tree maintains stability, branches that are weakly attached to the trunk or other branches need to be removed.

Stump Removal

Stumps in your yard or surrounding area disfigure the appearance of your environment, and it can be irritating to see them taking up valuable space. Beyond their unsightly appearance, they are a threat to properties and the safety of people around you. A stump won’t stop growing after a tree is cut down; its roots keep growing, and they tend to extend into properties, causing damage to buildings, walkways, fences, and other structures. Stumps are also an abode for insects like termites that invade homes and damage wooden furniture in them. Additionally, one can stumble on it and cause a tripping hazard that potentially causes an injury. Why put your property and life on the line when you can rely on Morris family Tree Service in Mount Carmel, PA?
Our certified arborist will transform your yard or space to make it valuable and safe. Trust Morris family Tree Service in Mount Carmel, PA to handle any type or size of stump using the latest stump grinding equipment while we follow the best safety practices for a damage-free and seamless stump removal process.

Emergency Tree Service

Pest infestations and severe weather conditions such as strong winds, storms, heavy rainfall, and lightning strikes could damage a tree and fall on individuals and properties, obstruct roads, and weaken tree structures. When a tree structure weakens, it is more likely to fall haphazardly, further posing a risk to safety and property.
To avoid the situation of an unexpected tree falling, call upon us to provide you with emergency tree service. Our experts are available 24/7 to conduct a thorough assessment of the tree’s situation and decide on what is to be done because not all situations necessitate tree removal. Sometimes, a professional assessment from Morris family Tree Service is all you need to determine if a tree is to be restored or removed altogether.

Tree Inspection

There is a saying that goes, ‘Nip it in the bud’. In this case, you are not pinching or cutting off a flower to stop its chance to bloom, Instead you are to address any issue early that could make a young tree or a nearly damaged tree compromise the safety of people and properties. To deal with this potential harm, all you need to do is to get your tree inspected by certified arborists from Morris family Tree Service.
At Morris family Tree Service, we assess various factors to keep trees healthy and not pose a threat to individuals or properties around them:

  • Root Inspection: Rotten roots and exposed roots can become too soft and unstable to support the weight of a tree, and they pose a greater risk of falling soon.
  • Growth Pattern: Trees with heavy branches, an uneven distribution of branches and leaves, multiple trunks or branches that significantly lean in one direction, or branches that extend into power lines and roads are more susceptible to falling or breaking, compromising safety.
  • Tree Disease: Tree branches, trunk, bark, and root can be borne by pests, become softened due to fungal attack, and other infestations put the tree at greater risk of destruction.
  • Post-storm Inspection: After a heavy storm or a severe weather condition, a tree becomes unstable, and its internal structure may become weak and could fall at any moment.

Mount Carmel, PA Insights: Population,
Zip Codes, Influence, and Service Areas

Sawmill operator, Albert Bradford, gave Mount Carmel its name because of its elevation and beautiful setting in the mountains. He decided that it deserved a special name and named it after the holy mountain in Israel. Mount Carmel began as a logging town. Coal was only discovered in 1790 by Isaac Tomlinson. It took twenty-four years until the first shipment of anthracite was shipped from the borough. Mount Carmel Inn was opened in 1812 by Richard Yarnall and was strategically located on the Centre Turnpike (also known as the Reading-Sunbury Road or Old Reading Road) halfway between Pottsville and Danville. During the latter part of 1854, the Philadelphia and Sunbury Railroad was completed from Shamokin to Mt. Carmel, which led to the opening and development of a number of collieries in the region. During the same year, the Locust Mountain Coal and Iron Company commenced making extensive openings and improvements upon their valuable coal lands in the vicinity of Mt. Carmel, building coal breakers for two collieries – the Coal Ridge and Locust Mountain collieries. The township was erected in 1854, formed from part of Coal Township; by 1862 the borough was incorporated within the township.
